Passionate about sustainable development, green economy, global value chains, innovation, renewable energy, public policy, circular economy, waste to energy, emerging markets & market entries.
Together with another Copenhagen Business School M.Sc student, I conducted an independent research project, which spanned for 1 year. In collaboration with various stakeholders from the public and private sectors, such as the Danish Trade Council and South African consultancies, I worked on a business case for a Waste to Energy project, located in Cape Town, South Africa. With the use of the pyrolysis technology, which converts solid municipal waste, e.g. plastics & tires, into biofuel, I am assessing the economic feasibility of this business set-up. The master thesis covers a thorough analysis of South African country specificities, challenges for SMEs, the global trade of biofuels, sustainability certifications and the development potential for South Africa and the globe on a social, economic and environmental level. Besides this research project, I have been active in various freelance consulting projects for South African and international businesses and consultancies, including Arla Foods and Fetola.
