Institute for Applied Materials - Energy Storage Systems (IAM-ESS) Synthesis and scale-up of cathode active material for Na-ion battery cells
Battery cell research under the supervision of Prof. Michael Metzger and Prof. Jeff Dahn with the industrial partner Tesla Research on Na-ion cathode active material and self-discharge in Li-ion cells. Our results led to the retooling of the global Li-ion battery cell production (see press releases).

Process Engineering Helping to set up an automated variable Li-ion battery cell production facility. Co-responsible for the production of the factory's first cells. (20 h/week, as of Feb. 2021: 16 h/week)
