I’m an impactful, collaborative leader with more than two decades of experience designing and implementing culturally responsive, inquiry-based STEM curricula across diverse K–12 settings. With a proven track record at the school, regional, and national levels, I bring deep expertise in instructional leadership, curriculum innovation, and capacity building. My work centers on closing opportunity gaps for multilingual learners, driving student engagement and skills through project- and play-based learning, and scaling sustainable programs that empower educators and learners alike.
Leading the creation of a rigorous and engaging K–8 computational thinking curriculum used nationally; authored and supervised units teaching coding (Scratch Jr., Scratch), physical computing (MicroBits, Beebots), and AI (ChatBots, LLMs); lead PD for curriculum writers.
Set national STE vision & strategy; scaled rigorous STE programming to 200+ KIPP schools; directed national K–4 curriculum projects; led PD and PLCs for district-level STE directors; built coaching and planning tools for school leaders and teachers.
Worked with school leaders & teachers to build a rigorous, aligned K–12 STEM program, raising student achievement district-wide; implemented high quality instructional materials (Eureka Math, Amplify Science, PLTW, CGI); closed MLL achievement gaps; launched STEM Fair and Project-Based Learning initiatives.
Coached and managed 16 teachers; co-designed and facilitated schoolwide DEI PD; launched “Science Pioneers” curriculum model, raising rigor of instructional tasks.
Coached and managed 25 teachers; led PLCs and schoolwide PD; directed Health & Life Science and Law & Public Policy pathways; improved chronic absenteeism through family partnerships.
