  • Warehouse Manager at Sofina Foods Inc.

I came on board as Warehouse Manager for Carroll Cuisine in September 2021. The team consisted of 21 employees across 5 business functions: • Stock Control • Inwards Goods • Outwards Goods • Production Supply • Yard and Waste operations After identifying a few areas of concern, I immediately set out to make improvements, which would add value to the business. Staff retention was an ongoing problem, so I endeavoured to create an environment which encouraged the right people to come and stay on board, while adding value to the team. Whilst coaching this culture change, the business required an immediate cost reduction initiative, to which I reviewed the existing and initiated a new Waste Management Programme. The goal was to not only reduce waste overall, but be remunerated for the waste generated. The direct result was a saving of €60,000 p/a on waste disposal + remuneration for all recyclable materials & food waste.
