Sean Higbee is a seasoned energy management pro with 17 years experience. Currently the Energy Procurement Manager at California State University's Office of the Chancellor where he manages contracts for electricity and natural gas supply, solar and battery energy storage, cap and trade, while administering the Energy Contracts Oversight Board and energy management affinity group. Previous to CSU, Sean Higbee was the Energy Program Manager for the Los Angeles Unified School District where he oversaw an annual utility budget of $125M, and led the District's Energy Management Unit of 9 staff within the Architecture & Engineering department. Sean Higbee holds a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, an MBA with a concentration in Sustainability Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, and is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Procurement Professional, Facilities Management Professional, LEED AP, and Eagle Scout.
