I am a Biostatistics MS student with a Bioinformatics background from CSUCI and a Biochemistry background from PLNU. Between finishing my BS and starting the MS program I have gathered in-the-unit experience at three different hospitals representing rural, medium, and mega hospital systems. Thanks to the explosion of resources like edX and Coursera, I have been studying R and data science on my own time since 2016. The skills that I built up on my own, in combination with my formal education, gave me the opportunity to attend NYU and formally shift my skill set towards the technical subjects that I have been attracted to. I am interested in healthcare problems that can be solved with smart computing and thoughtful deployment.

I developed a plan of action to approach merging new data on child labor and child hazards. The data merge was conducted in R. I also interpreted and explained changes involving data quality.
