In the Marsh & McLennan Innovation Centre (MMCIC), I worked as part of the CAT Risk StudioTM team of Guy Carpenter to benchmark catastrophe models used in (re)insurance risk assessment. My role as part of the two man software team was to turn these tests/procedures into user-friendly web applications which would deliver easy to configure, consistently formatted, printable and intuitive test results. The resulting reports were used internally and in client meetings to inform catastrophe model suitability for individual portfolios. Our small software team was also responsible for integrating new features re- quested by our colleagues as well as promoting the web apps to the wider colleague community.
