My day-to-day responsibilities included overseeing the hospital's supply and procurement processes, as well as managing various teams and departments, from medical stores to non-clinical services such as food and beverage, housekeeping, and environmental management. I also managed department budgets and key performance indicators and worked with group procurement to review products and negotiate prices. My extensive experience with SAP ERP6 allowed me to integrate data, generate reports, and manage sales and purchasing, vendor invoices, and business statistics. In addition to procurement, I also coordinated with key stakeholders such as the CEO, site executive officer, and chief maintenance officer to manage capital expenditure projects. I liaised with third-party organizations and suppliers, and reported on project progress and expenditures. Through this additional duty, I gained expertise in government policies and laws, leading to my election as chairperson of the Pindara group of hospitals' health and safety committee. Finally, I also contributed to the hospital's environmental impact management by overseeing waste disposal, evaluating ecological impacts, and keeping abreast of new government policies and schemes.
My role as an “Operating Theatre Assistant” we are required to have a medical understanding of how operations would work, from minor to severe operations. From there we foresee what is required before the procedure and help to assistant the doctors and the nurses with their set up’s and the preparation of equipment/machines. Started off looking after the stock control and inventory for key areas such as the surgical unit, intensive care unit, accident and emergency. Shortly after my first year I managed to help set up new wards (including: a new surgical and neurological unit) and helping to update existing units with the new and improved impress systems. This then required to meet new vendors and company to help expand our medical product line. Though doing this I become quite knowledgeable in the use of SAP, Outlook, Excel and a vas rang of medical programs. This knowledge then allowed me to be the assistant manager for the supply department during 2012 for a period of time. Soon after I chose to go into the position medical liaison supply officer to help keep relationships strong with staff, department, vendors and company while help with any additional workload around the hospital and office.
Providing cleaning services for the hospital and the hospital grounds (interior and exterior). In doing this I was able to develop and obtained knowledge in the green initiative and was able to help to improve on our current disposal of waste (clinical and non-clinical) to help make our hospital more eco-friendly.
