-Maintain healthy relationships with 13 international and domestic vendors -Oversee and manage packaging inventory and purchase packaging materials as needed -Provide support by communicating directly with customers through email and phone interactions -Move packaging materials as needed to different facilities using flatbed truck -Unload trucks using forklift as material would arrive to the facility -Organize multiple packaging warehouses to ensure easy and safe accesibility - Had 1 direct report who would help in the everyday activities
-Maintain healthy relationships with multiple customers to ensure their continued support -Work hand in hand with different areas of the company such as shipping, production, transportation and more to assure overall familiarity with the produce processes. -Keep track of orange bins received from the field daily, allowing us to have an understanding of how many boxes we can produce that day -Understand harvest schedules for Carrots, oranges, and bell pepper to ensure what will be able to be sold - Work with outside transportation companies to get best possible pricing on trucks going North and South - Work with transporation companies in regards to LTL loads as well as full truck loads
I managed 6 employees, the acreage i managed here was 1,200 acres of clementines.
I managed three employees and had two varieties of fruit, mandarins and navals. 303 acres of Mandarins and 120 acres of navals.
During this time that I was in this training position, I had a couple projects that I was in charge of. The first Project was going to all wonderful owned ranches and assigning all wind machines asset numbers. The other project that I was in charge of was the Genesis system, which allows for irrigation and fertilizer to be automated. This first introduction to farming started to instill in me that love for being out on the ranch.
Released orders to ensure orders would be available to ship out the following morning of the order being placed.
Worked mostly with irate customers who had some type of problem with their order, helped these customers get their orders fixed.
I Would take phone calls and help customers shop online and place orders.
