Working with Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio and Jenkins to develop REST and Event-based APIs using a microservice architecture. Led the development and support of multiple new and existing projects. Independently developed a code analysis tool for MuleSoft applications that checked that an application followed common standards. Created as a CLI application using Java. Created and maintained documentation for the APIs and processes such as deployments and daily checks. Help onboard new hires by walking them through the role, support tasks and their first project.
Working as part of a 6 person team performing general cleaning duties.
Working primarily with small businesses to help further their online presence by developing their website or reworking their existing website. Working with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap 4, JavaScript, PHP & WordPress to create static sites and custom WordPress themes. Typically going through the full process of collecting requirements, preparing a brief, creating both Low-Fidelity and High-Fidelity Prototypes using Figma, coding the website, testing, documenting, and finally deploying. Also on occasion working in a supporting role aiding other developers(both other freelancers and agencies) by creating minor pages, setting up affiliate programs, and creating documentation to aid in the creation of a website.
This role was part of an industrial placement. Freemove was an early-stage startup focused on the real estate market specifically in the development of a new property portal that allowed for renting, letting, buying, and selling. My duties while working with Freemove as a full-stack developer were as follows. Working from a specification to build a minimum viable product using Django, Django Rest Framework, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and Heroku to replace an incomplete WordPress version. Working directly with the founder and co-founder, providing my recommendations and advice. Accompanying the founders to meet with potential partners such as Mortgage Advice Bureau and Sort Refer to discuss system integrations. Overseeing and assigning work to a volunteer.
