Experience

Underwriting and Portfolio Management Team Leader for Capital One's Middle Market Bank. I lead the underwriting teams for the Aerospace, Defense & Government Services vertical, responsible for over $2.5B of primarily leveraged loans to both sponsor-owned and large public ADG competitors. I have driven continuous process improvement, introducing data-driven refinements of the bank's contract waterfall analyses, small business to full & open migration assessments and A&D platform-level revenue and profitability forecasting. I also lead Capital One's leveraged finance underwriting efforts in the Transportation and Logistics industry, and was previously responsible for the bank's leveraged finance underwriting in Convenience Store & Gas Stations and Engineering & Construction industries. I have led multiple process simplification projects, including spearheading a risk-based underwriting approach that reduced cycle times for existing portfolio accounts and stronger credits by more than a full day and a closing process transformation effort that established firm accountabilities, created easy-to-follow checklists and process maps and significantly reduced closing errors.
