Scott Clawson serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Culligan International, the global leader in consumer water services and solutions. Scott leads Culligan in providing innovative, sustainable solutions as a purpose-driven organization committed to transforming water to impact lives and protect the plant. Focused on accountability, collaboration and executional excellence, he instituted the Culligan Business System to keep the company agile, connected and consumer-focused across regions, business units, categories and brands. He is a member of the United Nation’s CEO Water Mandate and contributes to the UN Global Compact, the UN Water Resilience Coalition, and the board of directors of The Water Council. Upon joining Culligan in 2012, Scott implemented a strategy to strengthen the franchise dealer channel, improve recurring sales, focus on drinking water, and expand geographically and through acquisition. During his first four years at Culligan, earnings nearly doubled. In 2016, he steered Culligan through a sale process and acquisition by Advent International, generating a twenty percent return. In 2021, Clawson led the sale of Culligan to BDT Capital for $6 billion. Previously Senior Vice President at AGCO, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of agricultural equipment, he served as president of GSI, a business acquired by AGCO in 2011 from Centerbridge Partners. Under his leadership, GSI grew more than 50 percent and doubled earnings. Prior to that, Scott served as Chief Executive Officer of Ryko Enterprises, held leadership positions at Danaher Corporation and worked in various management positions for ALCOA in the U.S. and Europe. Scott currently serves on the boards of KIK Custom Products and Danzer Group and as an advisor to Pritzker Private Capital. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Brigham Young University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
