Israel Free Loan Association (IFLA) provides interest free loans to low income families and struggling small businesses in Israel. launched in 1990, IFLA has lent out nearly one billion Shekels ($250 million) to over 54,000 borrowers across the country and lends an additional 6-8 million Shekels ($1.5-2 million) each month. With a default rate of less than 0.5%, IFLA is able to constantly recycle the capital into the Israeli economy - allowing the working poor to be more active in the spending economy.
