About

Modern agriculture generates more data than ever before. The National Agricultural Statistical Service alone releases over 400 reports per year. Big data technologies on farms and ranches can generate terabytes of data. Economists and analysts in private firms and governments around the world create estimates of everything from yields and trade flows to prices and inventory. With all of this data available, it takes increasingly advanced data skills and economic understanding to synthesize all of this data into actionable intelligence for firms. Between my graduate education in economics and my experience working and researching in government and academia, I bring with me the knowledge to understand the complex economic and policy environments of agriculture. I am committed to the efficient and effective use of data and economic analysis to understand changing conditions facing farmers and agribusinesses and assist them in making the right decisions.
