Die Arbeitsgruppe „Arbeit/Qualifikation, Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion“ widmet sich der menschzentrierten Gestaltung der zukünftigen Arbeitswelt sowie Fragen der Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion. Sie bildet gleichzeitig die Schnittstelle zum Thema Produktion und Industrie 4.0.
Das High Level Gremium "Kommission Zukunft Statistik (KomZS)" ist durch Auftrag des Präsidenten des Statistischen Bundesamts formell eingerichtet. Das Gremium genießt den Status der Unabhängigkeit und berichtet an den Präsidenten. Es beschließt einen Arbeitsplan und legt eine Auswahl von Pilotprojekten fest. Hierbei orientiert es sich an den Risiken und Dringlichkeiten der neuen Arbeitsgebiete der amtlichen Statistik. Für die allgemeine Struktur einer Programmplanung werden Vergleiche mit benachbarten Ländern verwendet.
