We are optimizing an algorithm that performs database filters on subjective queries using the crowd. We have improved the algorithm adaptability by having it react to mid-simulation changes to predicates’ selectivity. We presented our findings to CS research students and faculty and placed 2nd for our work.

Converted widgets from an old system to Q2 Domain Manager utilizing Kendo UI. Programmed several data visualizations such as charts, auto complete, and drop down list using HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, and Angular JavaScript. Developed a utility object that controls access to data based on panel bar configuration. Utilized Node.js to create a program that mapped files & folders to the database services they referenced.
Performed original research on the evolutionary processes in sea urchins. My research uncovered reproductive results that were unique to sea urchins that will be studied further. Utilized Java and Excel to efficiently sort through and analyze sea urchin gene sequences.
