Through my career I have gained an in depth understanding of electric power systems working with utilities on large distribution grids as well as building controls for standalone microgrids. My goal is to make awesome products to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy sources and improve reliability and power quality off and on grid.
Responsible for product direction and development of on-grid and microgrid controls, communications, web-based user interfaces and lauded mobile app for Tesla energy storage systems. We are expanding control capabilities for Powerwall and Powerpack systems co-optimizing varied local optimizations with aggregated fleet controls, virtual power plants and grid support.
Ran product managers and product development group including, hardware, embedded software and enterprise software engineering teams, in US and off-shore locations. Supported and executed spin-out of Echelon’s Grid Modernization Division including presentations to potential investors, identifying assets, managing employee and partner communications and launching new company and product line at major utility industry event. Establish and execute product vision, solution strategy and product road-map.
