Senior Software Engineer at Kit, the email-first operating system for creators. I work on the Ecosystem team, building the App Store, developer platform, and automations that connect Kit to the rest of the creator economy. I'm also the founder of Dropa, the world's first "text-to-product" AI. You chat with our AI, and in under a minute, your idea becomes a buyable physical product. We're creating a whole new category: User-generated Products (UGP). Just like User-generated Content revolutionized media, UGP is set to revolutionize physical goods. We're turning personal ideas into reality while democratizing commerce for creators. I've spent 19 years building first-of-their-kind solutions. In 2007, at age 17, I created Pligus: 20-person video calls entirely in-browser with paying customers, featured in Brazil's Galileu magazine as "Skype, better watch out." It had chat, screen sharing, live whiteboards, and real-time docs, years before Google Meet and Zoom. In 2012, I built Bcast, enabling live video streaming directly to Facebook feeds before any social platform had "going live." In 2014, Tidro, an NLP-based digital assistant with its own email address. In 2020, Salve Local helped closed businesses sell future-purchase vouchers during the pandemic, featured on GloboNews. Between ventures: senior engineering roles at Gartner, Spin, Casper, and Toptal, from startup velocity to enterprise complexity. Let's connect if you're building at the intersection of AI, creativity and commerce.
I help creators grow their businesses through the tools and integrations they rely on every day. I work on the Ecosystem team, building the App Store, developer platform, and automations that connect Kit to the rest of the creator economy.
As the founder behind dropa, I'm building the world's first AI-powered "text-to-product" platform. dropa is revolutionizing how ideas become tangible products, starting with personalized apparel and expanding rapidly into new categories. What we do: dropa transforms any text description (or image reference) into a unique, physical product, making creation accessible to everyone, regardless of design skills. Our innovative AI bridges the gap between imagination and reality, allowing users to effortlessly bring their ideas to life. Why it matters: We're at the forefront of the generative AI revolution, tapping into the massive demand for personalization and the booming creator economy. Our unique model offers creators a significant revenue share on sales and remixes, fostering a vibrant community where creativity is monetized and shared. It's a platform where ideas are not just created, but also shared, remixed, and celebrated within a growing community. Products created on dropa are already out in the world, generating revenue and proving our concept. Our vision: dropa is more than just an e-commerce platform; it's a creator-centric ecosystem. We're building a global network of local suppliers, ensuring fast, sustainable production and delivery worldwide, with plans to expand into the US, Latin America, and Europe.
As a full-stack software engineer at Toptal I've been working for startups based in US and Europe for more than 10 years. You can check my profile at: http://www.toptal.com/resume/gustavo-scanferla#book-only-unrivaled-coders
