I am a medical doctor by training and a public health researcher with vast experience in managing large-scale community- and hospital-based research projects in Bangladesh including several longitudinal multi-country research studies. I have expertise in designing data collection tools, supervision, training, quality control of data collection, data analysis, IRB preparation, and manuscript writing. My research interests include improvement of maternal, newborn and child health, biomarkers of adverse birth outcomes, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and health systems research in resource-poor settings.
Principal Responsibilities: • Overall coordination, planning and supervision of multiple research studies • Ensure timely implementation of the mandated research activities and a high-quality output • Supervise the research staffs in the maintenance of health and demographic surveillance system • Review scientific protocols and literature and prepare manuscripts for publication • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with government bodies, NGOs, and donors.

• Overall implementation of the project – field planning, monitoring and supervision • Ensure quality of collection of bio-specimen, processing and archiving as per SOP • Assess training needs of the staffs; organize training programs as needed • Manage budget and expenditures, resource allocation and supply of logistics • Data analysis, prepare summary reports and slides for presentation
