Hello! I am a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. I have served in leadership for organizations which has rounded me to be who I am today. I believe that my professional opportunities have strengthened my communication, organization, writing, pubic speaking and team-work skills. I thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and I am looking to further my experiences in the legal field. Thank you for being here!
Led all communications, magazine visibility initiatives, and event executions. Served as the primary event planner for semesterly release parties, overseeing logistics and creative direction. I acted as the main point of contact for staff and models, ensuring seamless cross-team coordination. Additionally, I directed external communications for partnerships and collaborations.
I have contributed to this student-run fashion magazine by researching, writing and editing articles for the publication each semester. Through this experience I have written research and creative entries and created graphics to go on each magazine spread. I am able to utilize Adobe Creative Cloud to layout pages and make sure content is cohesive and visually appealing.
This role is a position where I serve students inside a classroom setting to provide support in the active learning classroom experience. I was selected for this role and I get to be a point of contact for students as I give them feedback during discussions and on graphic design projects. During weekly meetings with the professor and fellow PLA's, I communicate how the classroom is flowing and help brainstorm ideas of how content can be taught.
This summer, I interned at Cookerly PR, a public relations agency known for its expertise in marketing, crisis communications, media relations and social media strategy. Through this position, I had the opportunity to draft press releases, send media pitches, monitor media, manage social media content, work on graphics and research a variety of industries. This role provided me with a hands-on experience in the agency life, sharpening my communication skills and giving me an understanding of the public relations industry.
This year, I was a member of PRSSA and had the opportunity to learn about the public relations industry. I was able to learn about different jobs and roles within my career. I attended events to prepare for my future professional career.
After rounds of applications and interviews, I was selected to be the Photography chair on the UGA Miracle Executive Board. I photographed and created visual content for the nonprofit's website, social media channels and fundraising events, while ensuring consistent branding and engagement. I organized and led presentations to groups of 80+ attendees and encouraged involvement for the cause. Through this role, I got to manage a team of assistants and work with my co-chair to coordinate schedules and delegate tasks. Our organization as a whole was able to fundraise $1,201,133.25!
