I successfully completed the "Työvoimapalvelut, palvelukohtaiset kurssit" employment coaching program conducted entirely in Finnish by Spring House. This intensive course was a major step forward in my integration and professional growth. Työnhakukanavat ja eri tavat työllistyä: I learned how to uncover hidden jobs (piilotyöpaikat) that are never publicly advertised and explored different pathways to employment. Työnhakuasiakirjat ja haastatteluissa menestyminen: I mastered the art of creating impactful, professional CVs and cover letters tailored to the Finnish market, while also learning how to succeed in job interviews. Työnhaun ja opiskelun IT-taidot: I strengthened the essential digital and IT skills needed for modern job hunting and professional studies.
Finnish Language and Integration Course | Taitotalo Participated in official integration training organized by Taitotalo to accelerate my language skills and professional adaptation in Finland. Through dedicated effort, I achieved a B1.2 language level, demonstrating independent proficiency in spoken and written Finnish. The course equipped me with the language tools necessary to navigate daily life, follow professional instructions, and actively pursue career opportunities in the local market.
Completed a professional work placement as a Teacher's Assistant in a primary school setting, gaining hands-on insight into the Finnish education system and workplace culture. My responsibilities and achievements: Instructional Support: Guided pupils during classroom activities and lessons in strict accordance with the class teacher's lesson plans. Academic Assistance: Supported students individually and in small groups with problem-solving, with a strong focus on clarifying mathematics concepts. Student Supervision: Maintained a safe, focused, and organized learning environment by actively monitoring student safety and well-being. Cultural Integration: Successfully adapted to and integrated into the Finnish working life and school dynamics through practical everyday experience.
I completed my very first internship in Finland as part of my Finnish language studies, and it became one of the most inspiring experiences of my learning journey. Working in a Finnish elementary school (ala-aste) gave me the chance not only to explore the Finnish education system up close but also to grow rapidly in my language skills—especially in puhekieli, which we don’t often learn in the classroom. ✨ What I Did: • Supported teacher in daily classroom tasks and guided students during lessons • Assisted pupils individually and in groups, helping create a positive and encouraging learning environment • Helped with school routines, activities, and small administrative tasks • Interacted daily with students and staff in real, natural Finnish, learning expressions and everyday communication. • Observed how Finnish teachers manage learning, creativity, and student well-being 🌟 What I Gained: • A huge boost in Finnish speaking confidence, especially in puhekieli • Practical understanding of how Finnish schools work and what makes their system unique • Strong teamwork, communication, and cultural adaptability skills • First-hand experience working with children in a warm, supportive, and multicultural environment
In 2023, I relocated to Finland and took maternity leave through early 2025. Alongside integrating into a new country, this period allowed me to deepen my understanding of Finnish culture, society, and everyday life.
