Having more than 18 years (10 years in Middle East) of relevant work experience in the field of Roads, Highways and Infrastructure Projects covering construction supervision, monitoring the progress of work, quality control, schedule the cost/ budget in accordance to the program / contract of projects in India, Oman and Qatar gained by working with leading consultancy firms such as Dorsch Gruppe, Parsons International, Feedback Ventures and ICT. I have immense exposure and expertise in execution of major infrastructure projects starting from feasibility stage to project execution and completion of projects. As a supervision consultant, I have vast experience in on-site supervision and consultation for major road / highways, infrastructure projects including provide specialist advice to relevant sections and departments, ongoing involvement with problem solving, value engineering and development of work practices, scheduling, document controls, review of contractor submittals, project monitoring, project management, preparation of reports and quality control. As a design consultant, I have expertise in preparation of design reports including analysis of traffic and engineering survey data, design of pavements and overlays, slope stability analysis, economic analysis using HDM-IV, lifecycle cost analysis and estimation of quantities. In addition to the national road construction related standards of India, Oman & Qatar, I am also well conversant with international standards such as ASTM, BS and AASHTO Standards. I have been trained and having awareness in various safety courses and project management related courses.
On site supervision and consultation for road construction works that include embankment, CABC and asphalt laying works On site supervision and consultation for utilities works that include storm water, foul sewer, potable water and irrigation works. On site supervision and consultation for construction of bunds, access roads, air sluice chamber, construction of temporary jetty and ballast pre-casting etc., that are associated with the construction of storm water outfalls On site supervision and consultation for removal of bunds, installation of pre cast concrete steps for beaches, sand placement by hydraulically, flooding of lagoons, construction of bunds, access roads etc., that are associated with the beach construction activities. On site supervision and consultation for dredging operations, spoil pit construction and protection of existing revetments etc. that are associated with the dredging of southern marina channel. Manage and distribute day to day job responsibilities for the Asst. resident engineers and site engineers Monitor the site works and ensure that the construction works are carried out in full compliance with QCS 2014, Lusail Specifications and other contractual requirements. Review of all contractor submittals including shop drawings, RMD, As-built drawings, method statements, procedures and other technical submittals. Actively participate in construction meetings, progress review meetings and coordination meetings. Preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports to submit the Client and review of weekly and monthly progress reports submitted by Contractor. Providing official response to the Request for Inspections (RFI) raised by the contractor. Action and close out of Notice of Inspections (NOI) submitted by the contractor including inspection of completed works and witnessing of third party laboratory sampling & laboratory analysis. Inspection of installations such as Kerb Stone, Interlocking tiles, Road markings, sign boards etc.
• Coordination and quality control of road construction works that include major excavation (up to 100m), embankment, GSB, CABC, BBC and Wearing Course • Review of all contractor submittals including construction drawings, method statements and other technical submittals. • Supervision and inspection of road related installations such as MSE wall, Crash Barriers, Guard Rails, Curb Stone, Interlocking tiles, markings, sign boards etc., and other storm water drainage works. • Preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports and monitoring of project progress • Carried out slope protection works for many project in Oman and the scope included the following: Slope stability evaluation of rock cut faces and embankments including identification of discontinuities, deteriorations and probability of failures employing XSTABL and SLIDE programs. Rock fall analysis and preparation of slope risk assessment. Coordination and provision of recommendation proposal for slope protection and long term stabilization measures.
• As a highway / pavement / traffic engineer, I was responsible for planning and monitoring the site investigations, engineering surveys, traffic surveys and collection of secondary data required for the design of highway elements. • Carried out data analysis and independently prepared project reports such as site appreciation / inception reports, Design Concept Note, Feasibility Reports, Detailed Engineering Reports, Subgrade Soil investigation report, Pavement / overlay Design, Economic analysis and reporting using HDM IV. • Provided input for the preparation of Technical Schedules, Specifications and BOQ • Coordination with the client and conducting project meetings / presentations to the client
