About

I am a Senior Practice Development Lawyer in Pinsent Masons' international IP Group, specialising in UK and European patent litigation. I have a particular interest in the Unified Patent Court (UPC). I studied Natural Sciences a the University of Cambridge, specialising in physiology. I worked as a practising patent litigator for over 13 years, with experience in the life sciences and tech fields, before moving into a professional support role. I support and work closely with the patents team, and am responsible for a wide range of practice development activities. I lead the team's profile raising activities, including producing articles and contributing to external publications, and I work on both internal and external-facing educational and content delivery services. I am often asked to comment on patent issues by the main industry press as well as wider media. I am a member of the Editorial Board of The Patent Lawyer, and am also a UPC Editor for the renowned EPLAW Patent Blog. A key part of my role is educating the team, and ensuring that legal knowledge is shared and up-to-date. I am responsible for designing and implementing the patent team's training programme. I also generate and maintain know-how materials and precedents. I lead on a number of other knowledge based innovative initiatives to enhance the patent team's visibility and develop the services offered.
