• Recruitment Craft Lead: Provide strategic guidance to Shopify Leadership by creating strong relationships with internal and external partners. Create interview plans, assessment criteria and use data to inform decisions on best practices for Recruiting at Shopify. • Talent Mergers and Acquisitions: Contribute to Shopify’s largest acquisition to date: $2.1b and ~500 employees. Responsible for assessing talent of companies Shopify acquires by creating innovative interview plans. Interview employees to find the best fit for them at Shopify post acquisition. Determine employee levelling to fit within Shopify’s levelling, to inform compensation and organizational structure.
• People Lead: Promoted to People Lead to lead a team of 4 Recruiters across Canada, recruiting for roles in North America. Manage strategy for high volume hiring of Customer Success, Sales and Technical Implementation teams. Manage performance and act as a player coach while still recruiting for Leadership positions on the GTM team. • Mentorship: Act as a mentor to train new team members on the Recruitment team. Host onboarding sessions related to craft disciplines.
• Own hiring for Merchant Experience: Sole recruiter responsible for hiring for Customer Success, Sales and Technical Implementation teams. Responsible for hiring 100+ GTM roles per year. Build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers. Train interviewers, streamline hiring processes by building strong, diverse pipelines
• Talent Management: Provide full cycle recruitment services by developing job postings, screening applicants, consulting with managers to generate candidate lists, drafting interview questions, leading interviews, conducting reference checks, and providing successful candidate selection guidance. Administer and coordinate the orientation/onboarding of new staff. Support career development conversations by advising internal staff of recruitment best practices regarding employee growth and success. • Human Resources Operations: Deliver customer service to staff by providing information and guidance related to the Human Resources functions. Coordinate and support psychological health, safety and wellness initiatives. • Plan Administration: Act as the plan administrator for employee benefit plans (Desjardins, Great West Life, HOOPP) by providing direct support and information to employees regarding all aspects of the plans (e.g. benefit coordination, dependent coverage, coverage cost calculations, and termination)
