I am the Manager of Community Health Impact at Mercy Health. My work emphasizes the importance of putting data into action to address and minimize health gaps that exist across systems. Through collaboration and community engagement culturally sensitive approaches are used in addressing health challenges. I hold a Bachelor's in Public Health from Miami University and a Master’s in Health Promotion & Education from the University of Cincinnati. Upon completion of my Master's degree, I also became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES ®). I am passionate about the field of prevention and providing education to the community. I excel in environments that allow me to enhance my skills and knowledge, as well as empower others through my passion for health and wellness.
- Providing and implementing current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees on the outbreak response team - Creating, maintaining, and auditing Outbreak Response Team work - Collaborating on regional calls with The Health Collaborative and with Infection Preventionists from around Southwest Ohio - Maintaining accurate data collection on reportable diseases in Hamilton County through the Ohio Disease Reporting System - Creating, disseminating, and utilizing toolkits on prevalent infectious diseases
- Maintain organization in entrance area - Answer phones, transfer calls, and pass along messages to the appropriate individuals - Direct visitors and residents to their desired location - Communicate with residents and keep them within the designated areas of the care center
- Research various concerns of our system such as food deserts, food insecurity among college students, and food recovery systems. - Create a survey to further understand the needs of the UC student population, as well as the needs of student organizations on campus - Create an evaluation plan to show how this organization will track implementation progress
