Bringing value to customers through the following services: • Scientific and medical writing and editing (see "About" section above). • Document review, including for quality control purposes (data check, language/style, reference check, layout and format). • Document coordination (with authoring team, reviewers, writers, journal editors/reviewers, congress organizers). • Reference management. • Training on medical publishing, scientific writing and editing, reference management software. • Consultation/coaching on scientific writing and publishing. Even though I have specialized in publications and medical(-marketing) materials, I am comfortable working on different deliverables and across therapeutic areas.
• Developing publications (e.g., manuscripts, congress material) across different therapeutic areas. • Supporting medical affairs activities (e.g., advisory boards, books, digital newsletters, value dossiers, trainings for medical and sales departments). • Being responsible for publication coordination and editorial tasks for several accounts. • Defining operational strategies and effectively liaising with members of different teams, clients, KOLs, and other stakeholders. • Creating and delivering medical writing trainings to junior and senior members across teams. • Coaching and mentoring junior medical writers. • Developing internal material in the areas of quality assurance, business development, and tool development. • Participating in the design and implementation of a new operational model to provide medical communication services. • Acting as a key player of a dynamic team, with challenging timelines and changing priorities. • Last and most important: learning new things every day. And absolutely loving that part of the job.
• Supporting the development of material across different projects in the Publications Team (e.g., manuscripts, congress presentations)
• Writing of grant proposals and reports. I obtained funding for myself and my research (FWO postdoctoral fellowship). • Design, management and experimental execution of my own research project. Strategic thinking, identification of trends and novelty implementation to increase competitiveness. • Holding formal intra- and inter-group reporting meetings every 2-3 weeks, as well as oral presentations. • Attendance to international meetings relevant to my research. • Management and supervision of the work of PhD and M.Sc. students and of one technician. • Support and consultancy for Ph.D. students in the lab and department colleagues.
• Production and analysis of data of a next-generation genomics project; writing and publishing one peer-reviewed article with the results. • Coordinating the project with collaborations established with the IRB Bioinformatics unit and the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre: meetings, reports, troubleshooting, etc. • Reporting my research in the 8th forum of European Neuroscience, 2012 (poster presentation). • Mentoring a M.Sc. student, helping writing and editing his dissertation.
