I am honored to have been nominated as one of the representatives of the Egyptian Tax Authority’s E-Commerce Tax Unit to participate in the first joint training program bringing together the Egyptian Tax Authority, the Japanese Tax Authority, the National Tax College of Japan, and JICA. From April 21 to April 26, 2024, I had the opportunity to exchange professional experiences, engage in technical discussions, and participate in field visits to several tax institutions in Japan. These visits provided valuable insights into the Japanese tax system, tax administration practices, and internal information management frameworks designed to ensure data confidentiality and operational efficiency. The program offered a strong platform for knowledge sharing on digital economy taxation, compliance frameworks, and institutional capacity building, and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing emerging tax challenges. I look forward to applying the knowledge and best practices gained through this program in my work at the Egyptian Tax Authority, particularly in strengthening digital economy tax compliance and supporting ongoing modernization efforts. My sincere appreciation to all partner institutions for this valuable learning opportunity and for fostering meaningful international collaboration.
