Evidence-based treatment for OCD, Anxiety, & Depression
As the Bilingual TAY FSP Clinician I provided community-based individual therapy, crisis intervention and case management in both Spanish and English to diverse high-needs clients. I received training and implemented interventions in modalities including Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for PTSD, depression and anxiety, and culturally adapted CBT for Spanish-Speaking families.
The Stonewall Project is a state-certified low-threshold harm reduction substance use counseling program of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. At The Stonewall Project I offered individual and group substance use counseling in English and Spanish, as well as case management services, to gay, bisexual, and trans men and non-binary people ages 18-75. I provided integrative and systems-informed Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Seeking Safety Protocols, crisis counseling, and case management for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, psychosis, trauma symptoms, and housing instability.
As a school counseling trainee I provided academic, socio-emotional, and career counseling in English and Spanish to adolescents in individual, group, and classroom settings. I partnered with community-based organization LYRIC to co-facilitate QGroup, a counseling group for LGBTQ and questioning students.
I provided students ages 11-14 with bilingual (English/Spanish) individual and group counseling around issues of trauma, immigration, interpersonal conflict, parental substance use, and race-based oppression. I collaborated with parents, teachers, staff and administrators in developing scaffolded student interventions to support learning, mental health, and community well-being.
