In reflection of the interdisciplinary nature of my research, and the successful collaborations I have formed and sustained, I was invited to become an affiliate researcher of the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute. This affords me the privilege of working together and alongside some of the world's foremost researchers in stem cell biology.
I carry out research into the fundamentals of information-processing in cells, as part of the Biological Computation group at Microsoft Research. I am particularly interested in approaching this theoretical concept from the bottom-up, specifically through the study of developmental processes and stem cell decision-making. In my role, I collaborate with biologists, mathematicians and computer scientists to advance our understanding of biological processes, and push us towards the goal of programmable biology.
During this period I worked with researchers at UCL and Oxford University as part of a cross-group collaborative program connecting industrial and academic researchers working in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology.
