About

Creative director and filmmaker best known for his work with VICE Media and COLORS Magazine. After many years with COLORS, Santiago joined VICE Magazine in 2006 and led the transition to video as the first producer director, head of content, and global creative director of VICE Media. Over six years he directed documentaries and developed franchises generating billions of views for the network, including The Vice Guide to Travel, Vice News, and Hamilton's Pharmacopeia. Santiago launched VBS.TV, Vice.com, brand verticals –Motherboard, The Creators Project, Noisey- and was responsible for the editorial direction of MTV and HBO television productions, as well as creative for in-house agency VIRTUE Worldwide. Santiago has worked with Vimeo, The Daily Beast, HuffPost, and other leading media outlets as a senior advisor for creative and content strategy. Extensive experience also with startups in both US and international markets. Santiago is currently working between Tokyo, Hong Kong, and New York on media projects bridging East and West.
