In this role, I leveraged my expertise in system design, software architecture, and the Wafer Inspection System ecosystem to lead and work on transforming it into modern, scalable, and reliable solutions that are easier to maintain, reduce technical debt, and ensure we stay at the forefront of innovation. I actively did research, evaluate, and adopt the best technologies for the next-generation SPx system, enhancing the developer experience while addressing current customer needs. Additionally, I played a key role in leading the design and implementation of a new machine control abstraction layer, introducing enhanced features to replace the legacy version.
As a Calibration domain expert, I made significant contributions in building several sensitive calibration software systems to address aggressive customer needs for the next-generation Surfscan SPx Wafer Inspection System software. I was well-versed in the large codebase and was able to work independently across various domains and application layers. I also played a key role in modernizing the calibration software framework by migrating the core development language to C# and incorporating the latest technologies, which significantly improved development cycles for new calibration software solutions and reduced overall software debt. Additionally, over the course of a year, I developed several applications for the Surfserver software product, empowering our customers to better understand, monitor, and visualize their wafer inspection results. I continued mentoring software interns and played the most pivotal role in rebuilding the Calibration software team by training new team members and fostering their development, helping to onboard and guide them effectively.
