Gained experience in designing SMPS, Safety Interlock Module (SIM) and Power Distribution Module (PDM). The whole design cycle includes understanding business requirements, transforming the business requirements to design specifications, research and design of SMPS, SIM, PDM, validation of the design and release of product specification and test procedure. Knowledge of Rack-Mounted PC design involving the PSU, Backplane, SBC’s, SSD’s, POL DC-DC Converters and their integration. Knowledge of Safety Relay’s, breakers and similar other safety components involved in the design of Safety Interlock Module. Familiar with the involved safety standards too. Have been involved in the SMPS design ranging from 40W to 1KW. Familiar with the design of Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Flyback, Forward, Half-bridge, Full-bridge, Phase-shift ZVS and Flyback Quasi-resonant topologies. Familiar with the design methodologies, Topology design, Component design, Component selection, Efficiency Optimization, Root Cause Analysis, Power integrity, Signal integrity, Thermal validation, EMC Validation, Safety Validation, Stability Analysis, Worst case analysis, MTBF Analysis, AC and DC Analysis, Reliability Analysis and a few others. Have been involved in the Safety Interlock Module (SIM) design and Power Distribution Module (PDM) design. The Safety requirements and EMC requirements are given the prime importance during the design.
