Hi! Sanmitra here! I am a curious undergraduate student at NTU, reading Computer Science. I am a creative and detail-oriented person, with a deep love for reading, knowledge and learning like no other. I like to delve into seemingly unperceivable concepts and try my hand at projects which can bring about meaningful change in society. With my multifaceted skill set, rooted in innovation and empathy, I would like to harness the power of technology and research to bring an impactful change!
As the Classic Designer of the SCDS club, I am responsible for preparing designs for school merchandise, and I actively participate in merchandise-related competitions and sales coordination for CCDS. - Winner of the Merchandise Design Competition under the Lanyard Category
As the special events officer, I got to collaborate with other clubs at NTU to plan and execute arts and crafts workshops for students to enjoy. We organised one workshop in collaboration with the Animal Lover Society at NTU and another with the GEM Club. I also planned and organised a workshop of my own on Mandala designs on tote bags using fabric paints. Additionally, I have served as a spokesperson and booth coordinator for 2 campus-wide events. Featured in content for publicity purposes and mentored 200+ students on workshop activities.
I volunteered for different activities at one of the NTUC Active Ageing Centres in Singapore, for the enrichment and recreation of seniors in the area. Under the Care, Serve, Learn course at NTU, I got to plan my own activities along with my teammates, for the same. Activities planned and executed by us: 1. Rummikub Contest 2. Palette Knife Painting Session 3. Mini Games Bingo 4. Movie Screening 5. Outreach (Door-to-Door)
Throughout the mentioned period, I have been an active member of the Student Council, leveraging my authority for the betterment of the student body and fulfilling my responsibilities with utmost sincerity. I, along with my fellow core council members, organised a week-long event for the welfare of students, nearing exam season. Planned activities included food stalls, game booths, activity booths, photobooth, cotton candy and popcorn stalls as well as other stalls for sale of jewellery, clothes and miscellaneous items. Other activities included sports events and live performances (dance and drama).
