With years of governance experience, Sanjeev has attended over 120 meetings across Boards of Directors, Academic Boards, and Audit & Risk Committees. A member of AICD and ICDA, he actively engages in best governance practices and professional development to ensure strategic decision-making excellence. Born in India, Sanjeev developed resilience as a competitive powerlifter at the national level. Arriving in Australia alone at 17, he overcame cultural and language barriers while pursuing academic and professional success. He holds a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne, a testament to his dedication and hard work. With over 23 years in education, Sanjeev has held transformative roles, including Director of International at Swinburne University. He led the growth of an Australian education institute from 200 to 9,000 students and founded SILK Education & Training, a multi-award-winning institution recognised for innovation in vocational education and training. His leadership has bridged educational opportunities between Australia and other countries. Sanjeev’s achievements include the Australia India Young Executive of the Year award and induction into the Golden Key International Honour Society for academic excellence. His thought leadership has been sought globally, including invitations from the Government of India and participation in the Victorian Premier’s Super Trade Missions. He has been honoured with invitations to receptions at the Government House hosted by the Governor of Victoria. Over 25 years, Sanjeev has mentored thousands of students and emerging leaders, inspiring them to achieve their aspirations. As a qualified youth mentor, he is volunteering with the Raise Foundation to give back to the youth of Australia, supporting their personal growth and well-being. As Vice President of the Aus Asia Business Council, he championed migrant entrepreneurs and multicultural initiatives. His volunteer efforts span organisations such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, CEO Sleepout, and the Mental Health Foundation Australia. A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Sanjeev supports gender equity through the Australian South Asian Centre and has served as an AFL Multicultural Ambassador.

Membership into the Society is by invitation only and applies to the top 15% of college and university sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study, based solely on their academic achievements. Golden Key has chapters at over 400 colleges and universities in Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, The Bahamas and the United States.
