Architect interested in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, and Heritage Conservation, who is inspired by the social dialogues, cultural interactions, and historical narratives that shape and transform preservation, cultural landscapes, and ecological solutions for cities. My dual focus on urban design and heritage conservation reflects a devotion to preserving cultural legacies while fostering innovative spaces that resonate with contemporary architectural narratives in the urban realm.
Liaison between students, administration, building services, and space planning committees at the GSD. Worked on several proposals to improve the experience in Gund Hall, including a student-led gallery and exhibition space, equitable desk-planning and lab/printing resources, transition into the Gund Hall Renovation & Restoration project that is currently underway, and refresh student academic, lounge spaces.
As a career mentor to students at the GSD (Master of Architecture II/Master of Architecture in Urban Design programs), I provided one-on-one conversations and support to help navigate opportunities and adapt to graduate academic expectations in a new environment. At an institution with an incredibly vast number of resources and public lecture/learning offerings, mentorship was key to helping develop a plan to approach one’s existing interests while endeavoring to learn new skills during their 2 year-programs. This plan also set actionable goals for academic, social, and career success, and encouraged professional connections within and beyond the GSD, while providing insight on how to balance the demands of graduate education with personal responsibilities. It has been a deeply rewarding experience, allowing me to express gratitude for my own mentors, while continuously learning from my mentees' unique perspectives and growth, which inspires me to further develop my approach to guidance and support for those in the design field.
Received Community Service Fellowship (CSFP) grant funding from the Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation Fellowship Fund, on behalf of Harvard Graduate School of Design (HGSD) to complete a 10-week internship at the World Monuments Fund (WMF). I had the opportunity to work closely with Javier Ors Ausin (Senior Programs Manager) on projects relating to the Preservation of Modern Architecture, such as the WMF/Knoll Modernism Prize 2024 and a special project titled the Minnette de Silva Archival Research Project with a keen focus on Tropical Regionalism. Both projects involved thoughtful and extensive research on Modernist Buildings and conservation projects (across the world). As the WMF liaison for the projects, I was in charge of correspondence with and coordination of publications, jurors, schedules, public outreach, and a review of applications, projects, and organizations across the globe for the WMF Prize Nominations. This involved collaboration with the various departments at WMF (donor funding, development, partnerships, graphic design, and communication) as well as the international affiliate offices of WMF, presenting the research and work completed during the fellowship, including documenting the process and submissions through the design of reports and booklets for the organization.
