Advisor: Dr. Bana Jabri -Examined the regulation and role of post-translational modifications in the pathogenesis of Celiac disease. -Helped develop and characterize mouse models of Celiac disease. -Worked on collaborations resulting in publications pertaining to a variety of human immune related disorders including sepsis, type I diabetes, and inflammatory bowel disease.
-Citizen Science is an intensive three-week core course that introduces first-year students to natural science and the ideas of the scientific method with the goal of promoting science literacy -Designed and taught a curriculum centered around the microbiome and infectious disease to 24 students -Employed active learning approaches in classroom discussions, activities, and laboratory investigations
