My passion for community growth and sustainability drives my work ethic in the environmental non-profit and government sectors. I specialize in community relations, education, research, and outreach across composting, food recovery, and water-wise practices.
I support and lead compost processing hubs, food waste collection, and community outreach for LA Compost. My mission is to build healthy communities through healthy soil systems and food waste reduction.
I help organize and lead community outreach events in ithe San Gabriel Valley and East Los Angeles area for the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC), California’s most important statewide public awareness and community engagement initiatives. The Office allows the state to realize more inclusive and effective outcomes while preventing equity gaps in outreach. I conduct community outreach via canvassing, phone banking, educational workshops, and community events in English and Spanish for OCPSC and related environmental, health, and mobility initiatives.
Led tribal research for 80+ Indigenous communities along the Anza Trail, NPS Historic Trail. Research goals focused on providing a historical and educational overview of Indigenous communities located within a 100-mile radius of the 1200-mile Juan Bautista Anza National Historic Trail from Arizona to California.
I document P'urhepecha grass weaving and pottery practices through interviews, photographs, and videos to create an instructional guide for the Indigenous diaspora that highlights the intersection of environmental relations with native art and livelihoods.
