AkzoNobel is by law required to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to their customers for products that are classified as hazardous by the applicable regulations. AkzoNobel makes use of the SAP EHS module Product Safety for Report Shipping of Safety Data Sheets. Mr van der Veen was the EHS lead consultant in the team to transfer an existing SDS exposure scenario filtering solution from a legacy to the central SAP logistics system, as well as modifying it to fit this system. He analyzed, re-designed, built, tested and documented the solution, as well as bringing it live. Next to this, the SDS's had to be disclosed internally by means of a website (The former TechniData A.G. solution). Mr van der Veen did a complete new setup of the website, improving usability and substantially reducing maintenance efforts. Mr van der Veen's technical knowledge on the different topics was a crucial success factor.
