Part of the global logistics team and in charge of deep-sea transportation - shipping close to 20k containers per year across > 400 lanes. This role collaborates closely with plants, consolidation platforms, 4PL teams, carriers, and markets and includes the following responsibilities: - Procurement: category strategy development, global tenders (RFQs) and contract negotiation, supplier relationship and performance management. - Operations: tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvement, day-to-day issue resolution, supply chain project implementation. - Finance: defining standard costs for the year, budgeting and forecasting, tracking risks and opportunities. - Admin: responsible for master data accuracy, ensuring smooth accruing process, and making sure invoices are paid timely and without issues.
In charge of the global Standard Costing process, covering a spend > USD 1B: - Working closely with procurement, manufacturing and logistics to gather their data inputs and gain understanding of cost drivers and market trends. - Coordinating the activities of the Shared Services team in Costa Rica (> 10 people) and coaching and training them. - Calculating standard costs for all SKUs in all locations using both SAP and our dedicated Oracle-based database. - Main point of contact for markets and global finance for queries on cost evolution and on actual versus budget cost performance. Working closely with IT team to improve process and system capabilities. Delivered a tool in TM1/Cognos to calculate Volume, Cost & Mix impacts that became the reference across global operations. Controlling for the main trading company (see former position below).

Transfer pricing with the trading entity in Bermuda. Global SAP implementation.

Forecast future roll-out of fiber-optics cable in Europe. Extrapolation of required amount of Kevlar. Face-to-face contact with Western Europe's largest telecommunication companies. Negotiation to obtain sensitive information.
