Sam Park is an associate in the Chicago, Illinois, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. and a member of the firm’s Chambers ranked ERISA Complex Litigation and Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice groups. Sam focuses his practice on defending employers, fiduciaries, plan sponsors, and other defendants in complex ERISA matters, including both class actions and individual claims. He brings a proven track record of success across a broad spectrum of cases, including 401(k) and 403(b) fee litigation, individual disability, life, and medical benefits claims, ESOP disputes, tobacco surcharge claims, ERISA Section 510 claims, COBRA matters, and other breach of fiduciary duty claims. Sam also provides day-to-day advice and counsel work for employers in ERISA matters. This includes drafting executive compensation agreements, representing employee benefit plans and their fiduciaries in investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor, responding to ERISA 104(b)(4) document requests, and reviewing and drafting self and fully insured health and welfare plans. Sam takes a client-focused approach and is committed to supporting the strength and integrity of employer-sponsored pension and welfare benefit programs.
