I found my spark in data analysis. My passion for numbers began when I joined an abacus class as a child. Learning the basics of calculation through the abacus sparked a fascination with numbers that has only deepened over time. Data analysis calls to my curiosity and drive for precision. I enjoy uncovering patterns and transforming raw data into insights that drive strategy. My current toolkit includes Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python, and I’m constantly expanding my skills to stay ahead. I'm excited to blend my background in accountancy with analytical expertise, helping companies make data-driven decisions that fuel growth and innovation. One of my proudest moments was winning 2nd place in the SMU Business Case Challenge, where I presented to a panel of major stakeholders, including partners from Deloitte. Competing against talented teams, I put my analytical skills into action - breaking down complex data, identifying key trends, and developing actionable recommendations. Presenting my insights to industry leaders was both challenging and rewarding, reinforcing my ability to communicate complex findings clearly and persuasively. Volunteering in my community and playing doubles in tennis competitions have been a big part of my life outside of school. In doubles tennis, coordinating strategies with my partner is essential, requiring constant communication, quick adaptability and a shared understanding of each other's strengths and weaknesses. Through this, I’ve learned to align strategies in real time, anticipate my partner’s needs, and adjust our play style under pressure. These experiences have developed my skills in teamwork, adaptability, and strategic thinking - qualities that are invaluable in the field of data analytics.
