• Developed a real-time data pipeline using Apache NiFi to automate the continuous transfer of train operation logs from Microsoft SQL server to TimescaleDB, significantly improving processing efficiency and enabled real-time visualisation in an Apache Superset dashboard • Wrote efficient SQL queries and Python scripts to process and analyse train operation logs, including calculating key statistics using SQL CTEs and Window Functions, while gaining experience with PostgreSQL
• Implemented an innovative solution to upgrade OpenWRT with a newer Linux Kernel version that was not yet supported by the official OpenWRT release, enhancing the functionality of the router • Acquired in-depth knowledge of OpenWRT and the Linux Kernel, including their build processes, by studying the source code, documentation, and online forums
