Neuroscientist with a broad knowledge in ionic channel biophysics and synapse biology and their role in neuronal networks and brain dysfunctions. I led researches on neurodegenerative diseases, mainly Alzheimer's disease and Parkinsons's disease and on pain-targetting agents in academic and industry positions. Specialty : Electrophysiology (patch-clamp and MEA), functional imaging (calcium and FRET) using confocal, 2-photon microscopy and high-throughput imaging, animal behavior, viral gene transfer.
Leading scientific projects on the effect of synaptic alteration and perturbation of network homeostasis in Alzheimer's disease mouse models.
Brain biology from the molecules to the organism and its pathologies: Role of synaptojanin overexpression in cognitive dysfunction using animal behavior and synapse imaging. Synaptojanin and dynamin-dependent fission of curved membrane. Role of lipid metabolism in addiction and neuron hyperactivity.
