Recently Completed final year of a combined Electrical Engineering & Management program at McMaster University.
Lead hardware development engineer in a team of four to create a commercially viable prototype of a ‘smart’ universal inductive-charging work surface. The goal was to create a fully functional surface capable of wirelessly charging any Qi-compatible phone at almost any point on the table’s surface using smart-detection technology to enable & disable transmitter pads for maximum energy conservation.
• Worked closely with plant managers to develop plans and perform work towards a turn-key relocation of a plastics extrusion facility from Mississauga to Stoney Creek, while aiming to minimize downtime. Responsibilities included performing controlled teardown of lesser-used plant systems (eg heating, cooling, lighting, etc), while supporting production consolidation.
Competed across the country in national competitions as a member of Team Ontario in order to develop as an elite athlete.
Assigned as lead developer to design & build a functional test jig for evaluating power consumption and control responses of a surgical lighting and imaging system. Deliverable also included the build of a fully functional module and report generation outlining the build process and test protocol. Validated & executed automated test protocols to exercise completed PCBAs as part of the unit final-test process prior to integration. Gained practical working knowledge of Design for Test concepts such as FCT, ICT, AOI, DFM/A/T and their importance in assuring PCBA product quality.
Monitored the floor for customer issues linked to electrical, software or mechanical glitches with entertainment systems and troubleshot/resolved issues on the spot to minimize customer downtime
