Samuel is currently managing the Asian Metallurgical Coal & Coke pricing team at S&P Global Platts, and he comes from a career background in shipping and physical trading. Having been in China Shipping Container Line’s SEA feeder arm, Samuel has held roles that covered business and strategy planning, marketing, and procurement. He was also prior in the ferrous market and trading for an Australian metallurgical coal and coke marketing company, Square Resources (Singapore), where he embraced additional roles in Trade Finance, and Operations. A step further back, he was also a regional ferrous scrap trader in Hanwa (Singapore office) prior.
