Most of my work experience has been dealing with sales and customer service. Altogether I worked for a telemarketing business called Teleservices Direct for around 2 years, beginning in 2012. I've had experience in the food service industry through Wendy's, done temporary jobs like a Walmart remodel, and spent the better part of 2017 doing farm labor for a small farmer in the Warren County area. I began at Club Newtone in March of 2018 as a Member Service Associate, working the front desk, and through my hard work, also earned a position as a Membership Advisor, where my primary responsibility is giving guests and members information about the facility and selling memberships. I have been consistently recognized for my hard work and rewarded with gift cards, thank you cards, and an increase in pay. I am constantly trying to take on new responsibilities and learn new skills. Most recently I earned a position with MJV Group, Inc. doing a variety of office and clerical tasks, primarily focusing on payroll and accounting responsibilities. I will be graduating from Ivy Tech with an Associate's of Applied Science in May of 2019, and currently have a Certificate in Business Administration.
I handle aspects of payroll, as well as some accounting tasks, including invoicing and bookkeeping.
I worked as a farm laborer for a small farmer in the Warren and Fountain County area. My job consisted of a wide variety of tasks, mostly involving manual labor. I helped load and unload grain bins, maintained fields and equipment, and occasionally helped tend to livestock.
I worked as a promotional call representative, which essentially meant that I was responsible for calling customers of third-party companies and offering them promotional packages and incentives to change or continue existing accounts. I primarily contacted customers on behalf of SiriusXM, but also did a few other short term calling campaigns for various products like health insurance. For a period of time I worked in the Quality Control department, where I was responsible for reviewing outgoing call quality. I made sure that agreements and contracts were sold and explained properly, flagged calls that contained serious errors like a lack of clear customer agreement or poor customer service, and coached other call representatives as to the errors they were making and ways to correct them.
