- Provided leadership to the Business and Biodiversity team with 11 technical specialists working on a range of business sustainability projects - Technical leadership on biodiversity net gain and aligning with global best practice standards such as IFC PS6 - Led development of private sector partnerships to develop and roll out more sustainable business practices in priority conservation landscapes - Technical input and oversight of ZSL's flagship SPOTT programme producing a global transparency dashboard on palm oil, and timber, paper and pulp, and rubber companies - Technical input on managing development impacts across ZSL's country programmes with a focus on Cameroon, Indonesia and Kenya
- Technical leadership to BirdLife's corporate partners on the assessment and valuation of environmental risk and opportunity provided by different land management practices - Led a number of projects to screen, avoid and manage biodiversity and environmental risks and achieve Biodiversity Net Gain across several sectors. - With several corporate partners, worked to implement conservation initiatives by matching scientific expertise, tools, biodiversity and environmental databases with business needs and global conservation priorities. These partnerships and projects are driven by the need for risk management, securing and maintaining license to operate and meeting lender safeguards such as IFC PS6.

This role involved overseeing a staff of 30 technical and operational staff at a leading environmental conservation research organisation in India, with a captive breeding and education facility near Chennai and a number of research stations and field projects across the Indian sub-Continent. The role involved overseeing the activities of the Trust including business development, fundraising, project coordination, facilitating corporate engagement, communication with donors and fundraising. Included liaison with private and Government agencies (at the State and National levels).
