Involvement in negotiation and finalization of contract. Techno commercial analysis and co-ordination with consultant. Review and division of Scope of Supply. Evaluation and monitoring of the contract performance to ensure adherence to the schedule. Co-ordination and Inspection of Engineering deliverables. Presentation of monthly project status report. Extensive regular contact with equipment suppliers. Reviewing of Bill of Material. Preparing commissioning schedules in coordination with equipment supplier, erection agencies, testing and commissioning team to match with the project completion plan. Supervision of Erection and Commissioning in coordination with supplier and project team. Developing and implementing key procurement strategies. Selecting and developing vendors for meeting various requirement of the Organization. Making contacts with right sources of supply. Processing requirements to various suppliers. Making Technical & Commercial analysis of offers submitted by various vendors. Negotiation and finalizing of orders. Placing and followup of Purchase Orders. Inspection and expediting of items at vendor site. Vendor Evaluation Maintaining records of reliable sources of supply and prices of materials. Handling the purchasing of imported items for various mills. Review of Technical specification of material with an idea of simplifying and standardizing them. Co-ordinating with various department of concerns such as Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Finance and Accounts. Co-Ordinating for prompt payments to the vendors in the interest of good public relations.
• Inspection & Expediting of various products such as Flanges, Pipe fittings etc. • Inspection of Line pipe as per client as well as standard specifications. • Process Control at different stages of SAW Welding and MIG Welding. • Inward HR coil Inspection (Chemistry and Mechanical Properties. such as Y.S, T.S, %Elongation,Vickers Hardness test, Impact test, DWTT). • Inspection of Hydro Test on finishing section according to QAP. • Visual Inspection of the SAW welded pipe and inspecting various parameters such as OD, Bevel (angle & surface), picking, lamination, ID & OD surface,Radial deviation ,Starightness etc. • Inspection of FBE coating procedure such as preparation to blast cleaning, surface profile, surface cleaning degree, salt & sulphate contaminants, dust contaminant, Phosphoric acid washing, Induction heating, Epoxy powder application, Cooling & Holiday test. • Inspection of reparing procedure of FBE coated pipes according to QAP. • Inspecting adhesion (X-cut or V-cut) test on final station. • Some times involved in inspecting of various tests carried on laboratory such as Dolly pull off test, Cathodic Disbondment test etc.
