Hello! I am a fifth-year student in the Mathematics and Statistics co-op program at McMaster University, specializing in statistics. My interests include data science, machine learning, biostatistics, and epidemiology. I've mainly worked using R and Python.
• Led a project on clinical variable selection for predicting hospital outcomes by assessing data coverage and quality • Developed structured approaches to support clinicians in selecting meaningful, reliable variables • Improved robustness of hospital outcome indicators through data-driven variable selection methods • Built in-house data simulation functions in R to support software testing and methodological research • Contributed to data quality investigations and developed a comprehensive data dictionary
• Investigated novel methods to build neural network resiliency to analog hardware errors with PyTorch • Collaborated to build an efficient algorithm computing Sobol indices for neural networks • Documented results to communicate with the team • Presented findings periodically to colleagues from a wider range of backgrounds
• Built a Python model for the equations of state for hydrogen-splitting catalysts • Solved equations by optimization using Pyomo • Produced a report based on the research project and presented findings to interns and staff
• Prepared and executed tutoring sessions for first-year calculus students to improve their grades • Communicated constantly with students, providing answers and explanations to lessons
