I'm currently an Assistant Director, Heading the Admin Unit at A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR IDL). I look after all Corporate Service related matters and Resource Planning & Management for the institute. I'm currently undertaking the Google Data Analytics Course on Coursera and picking up SQL skills. From 2019-2024, I supported the Biomedical Research Resource Planning and Policy team (BMR RPP), A*STAR. My main portfolio was to manage & plan the Budget for the Research Entities. From 2017-2018, I was in the Performance Management Team (Human Resource), and my role was to facilitate the Research Institutes (RIs) Appraisals and Awards (eg. A*STAR Dedicated Service Award, National Day Award & Honorary Citizen Award). Upon graduation, 2014-2017, I was a Research Officer at the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS, A*STAR), with close to three years of working experience in the research field. My job responsibilities were to plan, optimize and run experiments with molecular biology techniques and to maintain the laboratory's logistics. I also have prior experience in Clinical Recruitment where I recruited patients from NUH for a research project.

Under the Resource Planning and Policy Team where I assist to manage and facilitate the BMRC Research Entities Budgets. In addition, my team have created a financial health dashboard using PowerBI to enable Research entities to make informed decisions based on their financial health.

Admin & Ops - Facilitated and supported transformation plans (operational/budget matters etc) - Secretariat duties for internal/external meetings with Senior Management - Facilitated 'International Relations' meetings with overseas parties and internal A*STAR stakeholders/Research Entities to introduce A*STAR and conduct follow-ups if any - Contributed to A*STAR's Covid-19 Taskforce and liaise closely with research entities on plans, communication, measures etc. - Organised/Facilitated Special Projects for BMRC
Completed work experience in the area of Paget's Bone Disease under Dr Sarah Rea (Dept. of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research) in the area of cell/tissue culture and protein work. Experience with techniques such as cell culture (splitting/seeding/transfection/lysing), protein quantitation (BCA assay), Dual-Glo Luciferase assay, SDS-page membrane transfer, western blotting (HA,FLAG, Tubulin, LC3) and membrane stripping. Worked with cos-1 and HEK293 cell lines. Practiced the importance of aseptic techniques in PC2 certified laboratory.
Did a summer internship at SICS, A*STAR for 2.5months under the then lab of Prof Sivasankar Baalasubramanian. Was tasked to do a small project titled "Cross Talk between Toll like receptors and the complement system". Was exposed to skills such as tissue culture, ELIZA and flow cytometry.
